The Prosecutor's Office conducted searches at the homes of 13 former MPs; 4 of them were detained.

Prosecutors of the Anti-Corruption Prosecutor's Office, along with specialists from the Information and Security Service and the Criminal Assets Recovery Agency, conducted searches on February 2 as part of an investigation into illegal enrichment as a result of bribery. 47 real estate objects and 13 cars fell into the field of view of prosecutors. In particular, the investigation is being carried out on the fact of bribing some MPs of the Moldovan Parliament for leaving the parliamentary faction to which they belonged. The press service of the Prosecutor General's Office reported that according to the preliminary results of the investigation, the expenses of the imprisoned ex-MPs exceed their legal income; the difference is from 350 thousand lei to 4.6 million lei. It is reported that the Prosecutor's Office during the investigation will publish information of public interest.
