In Chisinau municipality is introduced a public health emergency until 15 March.
This decision was made on Thursday by the Chisinau Municipal Public Health Commission. On the territory of the municipality, an "orange" epidemiological hazard code has been established, and in the next 7 days, the number of new cases of coronavirus infection is projected to increase to 1,000 per day, of which 20% of patients will need hospitalization. All medical facilities and services will be mobilized to adequately respond to the worsening epidemiological situation. The commission appealed to the Ministry of Health and the National Health Insurance Company with a request to urgently provide the capital's medical institutions with all the necessary funds and antiviral drugs, as well as create a dispatch center to coordinate the hospitalization of patients with coronavirus in republican and municipal hospitals. In addition, the commission asked the Ministry of Health to revise the recommendations regarding the diagnosis of coronavirus, since when testing with rapid tests, the proportion of false negative results is high, which leads to a distorted diagnosis and a delayed start of treatment. Previously valid public health rules will remain: citizens must wear protective masks in all closed public places, in public transport, at bus stops, at crowded public events held in open spaces, as well as maintain a physical distance of at least 1 meter. Recall that the state of emergency in the field of public health in the Chisinau municipality was valid until January 5, and at the national level it is valid until January 15.// 13.01.2022 — InfoMarket
