As a result of searches in the Agency of Public Services, 14 people were detained for organizing a corruption scheme when issuing cadastral documents.
This was reported by the Anti-Corruption Prosecutor's Office, noting that in September-October this year, the NAC and the Anti-Corruption Prosecutor's Office identified a number of persons suspected of organizing a criminal scheme through which they received illegal income. It's about employees of the cadastral offices of the Agency of Public Services, real estate and mortgage brokers, individuals and legal entities who, in complicity with a former real estate agent, facilitated the procedure for obtaining cadastral documents. In fact, the NAC and the Anti-Corruption Prosecutor's Office investigated several hundred episodes in which the organizer of the scheme facilitated the issuance of permits for the purchase and sale of real estate, evading legal preliminary planning procedures and demanding illegal sums of money from its clients to bribe the Agency of Public Services employees. Among the applicants for documents were individuals, legal entities and cadastral agents who asked for the issuance of documents without providing the necessary physical presence of the owners and without an official power of attorney. To obtain the documents, they turned to the organizer of the scheme and offered him funds for the following services: registration of a standard fixed-term contract (10 days) - 900 lei (the official fee at the Agency of Public Services is 260 lei); an extract from the Register of Real Estate and a certificate of the value of the property for a standard period (3 days) - 500 lei (official - fee of 250 lei); registration of a contract for a standard period (10 days), an extract from the Real Estate Register and a certificate of the value of real estate for a standard period (3 days) - 1400 lei (official fee - 500 lei). Of the declared amounts, the organizer paid the state fee, bribed officials and took a commission for himself. Today, NAC and prosecutors have prosecuted a number of active and passive corruption cases and capitalized on influence. In 69 authorized searches, which were carried out in offices, houses and cars, 38 people were involved. At the same time, NAC employees seized many documents from the Agency of Public Services office. Fourteen people were detained for 72 hours. If found guilty, they face up to 10 years in prison and fines. The Anti-Corruption Prosecutor's Office is conducting a criminal investigation. //20.12.2021 — InfoMarket.
