The minimum wage in the real sector may increase to 3500 lei per month, starting February 1, 2022.
The corresponding draft amendments to the government decree on the guaranteed minimum wage in the real sector were developed by the Ministry of Labor and Social Protection. The document is to be approved at a government meeting. In particular, it is proposed to establish a guaranteed minimum wage in the real sector from February 1, 2022 (at self-supporting enterprises, organizations, institutions, regardless of the type of property and legal form) at the rate of 20.71 lei per hour (3500 lei per month, based on an average working time of 169 hours per month). As a reminder, from January 1, 2021, the minimum wage in the real sector of Moldova is 2935 lei per month (17.37 lei per hour). Thus, the proposed increase will lead to an increase in the minimum wage in the real sector by more than 19%. It should be noted that the issue of raising the minimum wage in the real sector of the economy to 3.5 thousand lei was discussed at a meeting of government representatives with members of the National Trade Union Confederation and the National Commission for Consultations and Collective Bargaining. It is expected that already in May this year, discussions will begin on a further increase in the minimum wage in the real sector - up to 4 thousand lei. // 06.01.2022 - InfoMarket.
