Starting December 24, the Ministry for Healthcare will again publish a weekly list of red zone countries at high risk for the spread of coronavirus.
The National Public Health Emergency Commission has changed some measures to prevent and control COVID-19 infection when crossing the state border when entering Moldova. Thus, starting December 24, the Ministry of Health will compile a list of countries at high risk of being infected with coronavirus and publish it every 7 days. Persons who have been in or passed through one or more countries included in the red zone 14 days before entering Moldova, even if they have a vaccine against coronavirus, must present a negative PCR test made 72 hours before boarding public transport or 72 hours before entering Moldova on private transport. In the absence of a PCR test, these persons may enter the country, but must fill out an electronic epidemiological card and observe the 14-day quarantine, with the possibility of ending it after the 7th day upon receiving a negative PCR test result. At the same time, persons entering Moldova from countries not included in the red zone will be allowed to cross the state border without restrictions if they have a vaccination certificate; a negative PCR test for coronavirus (made 72 hours before) or an express test for the antigen (48 hours before); a medical certificate proving that the person contracted the virus for the last six months (after the 15th day of illness) or a document certifying antibodies to COVID-19. If these documents cannot be presented, citizens are quarantined for 2 weeks, with the possibility of ending it after the 7th day after receiving a negative PCR test for coronavirus. The above-mentioned requirements do not apply to children under 12 years of age, persons crossing Moldova in transit, etc. Another change made by the commission concerns access to the Chisinau airport for people accompanying passengers: starting with December 23, they will be allowed to enter the airport with a COVID certificate. //22.12.2021 - InfoMarket.
