The Municipal Extraordinary Commission for Public Health stated that over the past week in Chisinau municipality, the number of new cases of coronavirus infection increased by 41.5% compared to the previous week, while the number of deaths caused by COVID-19 increased by 5.9%. Due to the deterioration of the epidemiological situation, the municipality has re-introduced the "yellow" code for the danger of the spread of coronavirus. Citizens are required to wear masks in closed public places, on public transport and at bus stops, at events with a large crowd of people, at mass gatherings, the mask must cover the mouth and nose. There is still a requirement to maintain a social distance of 1 m and disinfect hands at enterprises, government agencies, shopping centers, shops, catering establishments. The municipal commission asked the Ministry of Internal Affairs to patrol the streets and ensure compliance with all established measures. Also, all competent regulatory authorities must verify compliance with the quarantine regime by persons obliged to self-isolate for 14 days. All 70 vaccination centers in Chisinau will work seven days a week, according to the approved schedule.
