Vaccination of at least 70% of employees in enterprises and institutions is not yet compulsory, but is of a recommendatory nature – the National Agency for Public Health (ANSP) stated.
During a press conference on Wednesday, Acting Director of ANSP, Vasile Gustiuc, explained that the National Public Health Emergency Commission has invited the heads of institutions, enterprises, organizations, agencies and institutions, regardless of their form of ownership, to ensure a safe working environment in the workplace and actively promote and encourage employees to vaccinate against COVID-19. According to the latest decision of the commission, enterprises are recommended to vaccinate at least 70% of employees by September 1. “Economic agents have an obligation to ensure labor safety. In addition, we count on the openness of economic agents, institutions and enterprises to the vaccination process in order to overcome the pandemic as soon as possible. So far, we are not talking about compulsory vaccination, but depending on the development of the epidemiological situation, such an obligation might be introduced,” Gustiuc said. At the same time, he noted that the possibility of introducing a requirement for mandatory vaccination of workers in some areas - the sphere of passenger transportation, HoReCa and in the education system - is also being considered. // 21.07.2021 – InfoMarket
