By the end of summer, at least 70% of employees must be vaccinated in private companies and government agencies.
This decision was made by the National Emergency Commission of Public Health. In particular, it is stipulated that the heads of institutions, enterprises, organizations, agencies regardless of their form of ownership, must ensure a safe working environment in the workplace, and actively promote and encourage the vaccination of employees against COVID-19. This measure is assessed as the only public health measure for the prevention and control of infections, therefore, by September 1, at least 70% of employees should be vaccinated. In its decision, the commission notes the unfavorable development of the epidemic process. Over the past 14 days, the incidence of COVID-19 in Moldova was 26 cases per 100 thousand people, while the death rate almost doubled, increasing from 2 to 3.13 deaths per 100 cases. The rate of coronavirus infection has also increased significantly. It is reported that the competent authorities of Moldova sent samples taken from patients to the reference laboratory in Germany, and the results showed the presence of only the Alpha virus (British). At the same time, at the international level, there is a significant increase in the number of cases of infection with new variants of the SARS-CoV-2 virus. The World Health Organization has warned of the risks associated with the spread of Delta and Delta + strains, which have already been confirmed in about 100 countries around the world. Accordingly, the risks of importing new strains of coronavirus are high. Currently, in Moldova, 9.8% of the population have been fully vaccinated, and the first dose was received by 14.5% of the population. According to the decision of the commission, all extraordinary territorial public health commissions must set a goal to vaccinate 70% of the population in Moldova by the end of 2021. // 19.07.2021- InfoMarket.
