In Moldova, prices for COR 95 gasoline have fallen by approximately 3.3% over the past three weeks and for standard diesel fuel by 3.4% - the National Agency for Energy Regulation (ANRE)
As reported by ANRE, retail prices for basic petroleum products have continued to decline for the third week in a row, and during the reporting period, the maximum prices set by ANRE for basic petroleum products decreased by approximately 3.3% for COR 95 gasoline and 3.4% for standard diesel fuel. According to the energy regulator, this decline is due to a decrease in Platts international quotations and the continuing decline in the cost of Brent crude oil, which is currently below $61 per barrel, the lowest level in the last five months. The downward trend is due to the prospect of oversupply in the global market amid rising OPEC+ production, increasing crude oil inventories in the US, and reduced geopolitical risks associated with the announcement of a possible meeting between US President Donald Trump and Russian President Vladimir Putin to discuss the settlement of the conflict in Ukraine. Under these conditions, for the period from October 18 to 20, ANRE set the following maximum retail prices for basic standard petroleum products: COR 95 gasoline - 22.50 lei/liter (-1 ban); standard diesel fuel - 19.33 lei/liter (-4 ban). // 17.10.2025 — InfoMarket.
