Another 3,369 families of Moldova will receive vouchers worth 6,000 lei to replace old household appliances with new energy-efficient ones as part of the 6th phase of the EcoVoucher program

According to the Ministry of Energy and the National Center for Sustainable Energy, this stage of the program will last until October 19 and is dedicated to supporting families with two children and families with elderly people over 63 years of age who need practical solutions to reduce energy costs and increase comfort. Beneficiaries were selected based on eligibility criteria and data registered on the compensatii.gov.md platform. The vouchers cover up to 70% of the cost of new household appliances—a refrigerator or washing machine—and can be used in a network of partner stores. Recipients are provided with free delivery and collection of old appliances. "This edition of the EcoVoucher program involves families with two children and households with elderly people, demonstrating the program's consistent approach to supporting different categories of the population. Through the program, we aim to provide direct support to beneficiaries by giving them access to energy-efficient equipment and savings on their electricity bills, which can be used for other household priorities," said Ion Muntean, Director of the National Center for Sustainable Energy. The EcoVoucher program aims to support households experiencing energy difficulties, reduce consumption, and lower electricity costs. The household appliances included in the program—refrigerators (including those with built-in freezers, classes A, B, C, and D) and class A washing machines—meet energy efficiency standards and European compliance standards. To date, around 37,000 families in Moldova have received vouchers for large household appliances under the EcoVoucher program. More than 20,000 vouchers were used under the 2025 program alone. For more information about the program, the list of partner stores, and how to use the voucher, please visit www.ecovoucher.md. Households participating in the program can check the availability of vouchers on the platform verificarevoucher.cned.gov.md. // 06.10.2025 — InfoMarket
