
The state-owned Moldelectrica has announced a tender for the purchase of balancing capacities for a period until December 31, 2030
As noted in the statement by Moldelectrica and the Ministry of Energy, Moldelectrica undertakes to purchase balancing services from potential service providers until the deadline of December 31, 2030. The implementation of these measures will strengthen the country's energy security and create the necessary conditions for the reliable functioning of the energy system and the electricity market within the established time frame, including creating conditions for the future purchase of balancing services through the use of market mechanisms in accordance with the rules provided for in the Electricity Integration Package. The procurement will be carried out on the basis of tender documentation, which includes a model framework agreement, proposed price limits, a description of the goods to be auctioned and their volumes, as well as other documents and information necessary for the procurement of balancing capacities through a tender based on a temporary public service obligation. Information on the tender documentation is available on the Moldelectrica website in the section “Electricity Market”/“System Services Market”/“Tender for the Purchase of Balancing Services.” This tender is the first of its kind organized by the electricity transmission system operator Moldelectrica.
