A national campaign on the importance of using solid biofuels in the public and private sectors is being actively conducted in Moldova
The Ministry of Energy and the National Center for Sustainable Energy reported this, noting that more than 70 representatives of state institutions that own solid biofuel heating plants, operators of installations, district council procurement managers, and other stakeholders participated in an online information session organized by the National Center for Sustainable Energy on the importance of using solid biofuel heating plants. The session discussed issues related to preparing such heating plants for the heating season, minimum requirements and specifications for sustainable procurement, the quality of solid biofuel, and the www.piata-biomasa.md platform. This action is part of the national campaign on the importance of using solid biofuels in the public and private sectors, launched by the National Center for Sustainable Energy in conjunction with the Ministry of Energy, and is in line with the government-approved Action Plan for Preparing for the 2025-2026 Heating Season. “With these actions, we are strengthening our commitment to a sustainable energy future and the responsible use of renewable resources in Moldova,” emphasized the Ministry of Energy and the National Center for Sustainable Energy. // 03.09.2025 – InfoMarket.
