A platform dedicated to smart electricity metering systems has been created in Moldova: www.contorinteligent.energie.gov.md

According to the Ministry of Energy, the platform provides comprehensive information about this crucial process of digital transformation of our energy system. The Ministry emphasized that a smart meter is more than just a device. It is a tool that helps us monitor and adjust energy consumption in real time, receive accurate bills, have differentiated prices depending on the time of consumption, reduce emissions, and protect the environment. The Ministry of Energy recalled that, with the support of UNDP in Moldova and the Italian government, a pilot project is being implemented in the country to install 100,000 smart meters by 2027, equivalent to 7% of consumers in the country. To date, 35,000 meters have already been delivered and are being installed in the northern and central-southern regions. Another 25,000 smart meters will be installed by the end of 2026. The platform www.contorinteligent.energie.gov.md answers all consumer the following questions: who benefits from the meter, how does it work, what advantages does it offer, and how does it contribute to improving the efficiency of the energy system? The Ministry of Energy has called on consumers to visit the platform and use energy wisely. // 16.07.2025 — InfoMarket
