A new stage of the eco-vouchers program for household appliances has started: 32 thousand families will be able to replace old appliances with new ones

This program provides vulnerable households with the opportunity to reduce energy consumption and costs by replacing old appliances with new, energy-efficient equipment. Beneficiaries will be able to use vouchers worth 6,000 lei, covering up to 70% of the cost of household appliances (but not more than the voucher value), to purchase refrigerators and washing machines. The vouchers will be distributed in such a way as to cover families with the maximum number of children and pensioners. Only households registered in the Energy Vulnerability information system can receive vouchers. Beneficiaries will be notified of receiving vouchers on the compensatii.gov.md platform, via SMS or email. To use the voucher, beneficiaries must hand in the old household appliance of the same type, which will be replaced with a new, more energy-efficient one. The current stage of the eco-voucher program is being implemented by the National Center for Sustainable Energy and the Ministry of Energy within the framework of the Energy Efficiency and Renewable Energy Sources in Moldova (E4M) project, initiated by the German Federal Ministry for Economic Cooperation and Development (BMZ), implemented by GIZ and co-financed by the European Union, Germany, Norway and Denmark. The budget for this stage is estimated at 7.5 million euros and is financed by Norway, which has allocated a total of 21.6 million lei for this program. During the first 2 stages of the program, 7,220 households received financial assistance for the purchase of 3,974 washing machines and 3,246 refrigerators. The total estimated savings for beneficiary households of the first two stages of the program are estimated at 6.6 million lei per year (about 920 lei per year on electricity bills per household). It is expected that within the current stage of the program, beneficiaries will be able to save about 30 million lei per year on their bills. More detailed information about the household appliance voucher program and the next stages can be found on the website cned.gov.md or by calling the green line 0 8005 5005. //26.02.2025 – InfoMarket.
