
The National Center for Sustainable Energy awarded the winners of the "Eco-Energy Moldova" contest: 5 winners received $10,000 euros each for implementing innovative ideas
During the "Eco-Energy Moldova" event, the National Center for Sustainable Energy also awarded the best projects that reduce energy consumption, cut costs and promote responsible behavior towards the environment. The contest, held with the support of partners for the 14th time, has already become a benchmark event for promoting innovative initiatives in the field of sustainable energy and energy efficiency. "It is very important for us to recognize the efforts of those who stood behind the implementation of these projects, those who dedicated their time and passion to ensure that the completed projects have a positive impact on communities, reduce electricity bills and make them less vulnerable to what concerns energy," said the National Center for Sustainable Energy Director Ion Muntean at the event. The organizers awarded the best public institutions that have implemented projects in the field of energy efficiency and sustainable energy, including the Sirets Town Hall, Straseni District (modernization of the street lighting system), Nisporeni District Hospital (installation of photovoltaic panels), the Theoretical Lyceum "C. Spataru" in Leova (a comprehensive project to improve energy efficiency), the Giamana Mayor's office, Anenii Noi District (equipping a kindergarten and a multifunctional center with biofuel boilers), and the Drochia Mayor's office (implementation of energy efficiency measures in the "Little Red Riding Hood" kindergarten). Three awards went to journalists and editorial offices that played an important role in informing the public about the energy transition. At the same time, 5 companies and developers of the most innovative ideas in the field of clean technologies received $ 10 thousand each. Thus, in the renewable energy category, the best was recognized as a project for a new greenhouse heating system with zero carbon dioxide emissions; In the Energy Efficiency category, awards were received by EcoFabrica for developing an air-to-air solar collector aimed at increasing energy efficiency and reducing heat consumption, and CND for developing bio-thermal insulation from agricultural and industrial waste. In the Efficient Use of Water category, R.Com.Production received an award for an innovative technology for optimizing water consumption in the production of eco-friendly packaging, and in the Green Buildings category, HempBuild Solutions received an award for its arbolite product, an eco-friendly material for sustainable and efficient construction.
