Investments in energy efficiency are the key to Moldova's sustainable future - Dorin Recean
Prime Minister said this while speaking at the Moldova Eco Energetică event, which brought together professionals from the energy sector and people interested in “green” innovations. Prime Minister emphasized that, at a time of technological revolutions and transition to a greener future, the way of using energy becomes important both for people's welfare and economic competitiveness. At the same time, he said that more and more investors prefer to launch energy efficiency projects, including through the government's investment incentive program - “373”. Prime Minister said that today, green energy is not only a necessity, but also a business opportunity, while investments in energy efficiency are the key to a sustainable future. Dorin Recean stressed that the government will continue encouraging the initiatives of public institutions to support the transition to a more efficient and sustainable energy model, stressing that hundreds of projects are already implemented within the European Village program. At the event, Prime Minister presented an award for the best energy efficiency project in the street lighting sector, implemented in the village of Sireti. Renewable electricity and thermal energy projects in public buildings were also mentioned during the event.
