The tariff for heat energy for consumers of CET-Nord (Balti) has been reduced by 19% - to 1819 lei per Gcal

This decision was adopted on Tuesday by the National Energy Regulatory Agency (NAER). At the same time, the price of electricity produced by this enterprise was reduced by 20 bani per kWh (-7.2%) - from 276 to 256 bani per kWh. According to NAER, the reduction of tariffs is due to a number of significant factors, including: reduction of costs for the purchase of natural gas necessary for energy production; adjustment in accordance with new economic forecasts; and the need to prevent the accumulation of financial deviations in the regulated activity. It should be mentioned that the CET-Nord company sent a request to NAER earlier, proposing to reduce the heat tariff by 67 lei (-3%) - to 2178 lei per Gcal, while NAER decided to reduce the tariff by 426 lei (-19%) - to 1819 lei per Gcal. Currently, the tariff for heat produced by CET-Nord is 2245 lei per Gcal. The new tariffs and prices approved today by NAER will enter into force on the day of their publication in Monitorul Oficial (the Official Journal of Moldova). // 29.10.2024 - InfoMarket
