
Moldovan goods exports to Russia in January-October 2023, compared to the same period of 2022, decreased by 29.5% - to $117.4 million.
The National Bureau of Statistics reported that, at the same time, supplies of Russian products to Moldova in 10 months of 2023, compared to the same period of the previous year, decreased by 72% - to $277.9 million. At the same time, the share of Russia in the total volume of Moldovan exports decreased from 4.59% to 3.5% during the period, and in imports - from 13.25% to 3.9%. According to the results of January-October 2023, Russia ranked 6th in the list of Moldova's largest partners in terms of volume of purchases of Moldovan products in value terms, after Romania, Ukraine, Italy, Germany and the Czech Republic. The Russian Federation ranked 7th in terms of the volume of products supplied to Moldova, after Romania, China, Ukraine, Turkey, Germany and Italy. Moldova's negative trade balance with the Russian Federation in January-October 2023 amounted to $160.5 million, decreasing more than 5 times compared to the same period of 2022 ($825.5 million).
