
The volume of Moldovan exports to Romania in January-October 2023 amounted to $1 billion 165.5 million, up 12.5% compared to the same period of 2022.
According to the National Bureau of Statistics, the share of supplies of domestic goods to Romania in the total volume of Moldovan exports rose from 28.55% to 34.71% during the period. At the same time, the volume of imports from Romania in 10 months of 2023, compared to the same period of the previous year, decreased by 16.4% - to $1 billion 083.1 million, and its share in the total Moldovan import decreased from 17.3% to 15.2%. As a result, the positive balance of Moldova's trade with Romania in January-October 2023 amounted to $82.4 million against a negative balance of $259.2 million in the same period last year. Romania at the end of 10 months of 2023 was Moldova's largest trade partner in terms of exports, having purchased the most Moldovan products in monetary terms during this period.
