From October 16 to 19, Moldelectrica SE will hold public consultations with the population on the route of the future 400 kV Balti-Suceava transmission line.
In particular, public consultations will be held in Riscani, Glodeni, Falesti districts and Balti municipality. The residents of this region will be informed about the importance of the new connection with Romania for the electricity system, the advantages and benefits of this construction. As InfoMarket reported earlier, the project of the new electricity connection between Moldova and Romania through the 400 kV Balti-Suceava transmission line was presented earlier in Brussels during the conference of the Regional Electricity Group, which was held there, and was attended by key representatives of transmission system operators, regulators and energy ministries. The 400 kV Balti-Suceava transmission line project was jointly presented by Moldelectrica on behalf of Moldova and Transelectrica on behalf of Romania. The length of the 400 kV Balti-Suceava transmission line will be 138 km, of which 48 km will be on the territory of Moldova. It will connect the 400/330 kV substation in Suceava with the 330/35 kV substation in Balti. Earlier it was reported that Moldova and Romania intend to speed up the implementation of the project on the construction of a 400 kV overhead transmission line Balti-Suceava, worth more than 76 million euros. The construction of a new overhead 400 kV Balti-Suceava transmission line will increase Moldova's capacity to receive electricity from Romania. The Balti-Suceava high-voltage transmission line project is very important for the two countries, as well as the already implemented project of the Vulcanesti-Chisinau high-voltage transmission line. Once completed, these two lines will significantly contribute to increasing the capacity of electricity transmission from Romania to Moldova. // 09.10.2023 - InfoMarket.
