
The purchase price of gas supplied by Gazprom to Moldova increased by 7.8% in September and will amount to $568.82 per 1,000 cubic meters.
The chairman of the Board of Moldovagaz, Vadim Ceban, announced this, noting that the entire volume of gas from the Russian supplier will be directed for the needs of Tiraspoltransgaz. Let us remind you that a month earlier, Ceban reported that in August the purchase price of gas supplied by Gazprom to Moldova would be $527.68 per 1,000 cubic meters, in July - $550.6 per 1,000 cubic meters, in June - $568.15 per 1,000cubic meters, in May - $660.76 per 1,000 cubic meters, in April - $673 per 1,000 cubic meters, in March - $1011.73 per 1,000 cubic meters, in February - $1054 per 1,000 cubic meters, and in January - $1230 per 1,000 cubic meters. At the same time, according to data posted on the Moldovagaz website, in January 2023, the price of natural gas under the contract was $1136.59 per 1,000 cu. m., in February - $1072.11, in March - $1062.80, in April - $672.2, in May - $655, in June - $567.5 per 1,000 cu. m., and in July - $549.95. At the same time, the average gas purchase price in the first quarter of 2023 amounted to $1094.51 per 1,000 cubic meters, which is 1.8 times higher than in the same period of 2022, when this figure was $607.3 per 1,000 cubic meters. In Q2 2023, the average gas purchase price was $649.77 per 1,000 cubic meters, down 36.7% from the same period a year earlier ($1026.47).
