Gasoline and diesel continue to rise in price at Moldovan gas stations amid a significant increase in Platts quotations this month - ANRE

The National Energy Regulatory Agency (ANRE) said that it constantly monitors the developments on the international markets of oil products and stated that during July, Platts quotations for oil products rose by about $140-145 per ton. This fact decisively affected the level of retail fuel prices at gas stations, which are set daily by ANRE. Thus, if at the beginning of this month Platts quotations for diesel fuel reached in the region $705-710 per ton, they have now grown to $850 per ton. This level was last recorded in March of this year. In the case of gasoline, quotations rose to $945 per ton, which corresponds to the level recorded back in November 2022. ANRE reminds that the market of oil products was strongly affected by the recent decisions taken within the OPEC+ framework, especially by the reduction of oil production and exports by Saudi Arabia and the Russian Federation. As ANRE notes, for three days, 29.07.2023-31.07.2023, the maximum retail prices of basic standard oil products were set at the following level: gasoline COR 95 - 25.41 lei per liter (plus 8 bani); standard diesel fuel without commercial name - 21.33 lei per liter (plus 12 bani). ANRE continues to closely follow the developments on international oil exchanges and assures consumers of the correctness of the daily calculation of prices set for fuel purchases. // 28.07.2023 - InfoMarket.
