Energocom has extended the contract with MoldGRES and will purchase about 303 thousand MWh of electricity in June at the previous price of $66 per MWh.
According to the message of the Moldovan state company, this amount will account for 95% of the necessary consumption on the right bank of the Dniestr River. The price of $66/MWh was agreed upon in late March for 6 months. The remaining amount of electricity, especially during peak hours, will be purchased on the Romanian exchange OPCOM. As it is specified, since May 24, Ukraine stopped exporting electricity to neighboring countries, and since then Energocom has replaced the energy purchased from Ukrhydroenergo with purchases from OPCOM (Romania's electricity market operator). The Romanian company SN Nuclearelectrica will continue to carry out scheduled repairs next month. // 29.05.2023 - InfoMarket
