Gasoline and diesel fuel prices are rising again in Moldova amid a slight increase in Platts quotations on international exchanges - ANRE.
The National Energy Regulatory Agency (ANRE) stated that, after a long term decrease in fuel prices, which resulted in a recent decrease in gasoline prices by 2.5 lei per liter and in diesel fuel prices by 2.2 lei per liter, ANRE has registered a slight increase in Platts quotations, which is reflected in a daily increase in fuel prices by up to 10 bani per liter. According to the energy regulator, the corresponding price increase is associated exclusively with the increase in Platts quotes for petroleum products on international exchanges, which is the indicator underlying the current Methodology for determining the price level. Under the circumstances, as of tomorrow, May 23, ANRE has set the following retail price ceilings for the main standard petroleum products: COR 95 gasoline - 23.15 lei per liter (+3 bani); standard diesel - 19.10 lei per liter (+3 bani). ANRE stresses that it continues to follow closely the developments on international oil exchanges and assures consumers of the correctness of the daily fuel price calculation. //22.05.2023 - InfoMarket.
