ANRE confirmed the availability of sufficient reserves of diesel and gasoline to fully cover the current needs of individuals and economic agents.
According to the National Energy Regulatory Agency (ANRE), in recent days, some media publications have reported about low fuel reserves of oil companies, especially diesel fuel. To avoid speculation on the subject, the energy regulator issued a number of clarifications. ANRE noted that it reports and monitors daily the level of oil products stocks held by importers in their warehouses and at the oil terminal in the Giurgiulesti port, destined for import into Moldova. The Agency, based on the data updated daily, confirms the availability of diesel and gasoline stocks to fully cover the current needs of both individuals and economic agents, including in the context of increased seasonal demand due to the start of agricultural works. As the ANRE notes, the information that appeared in the public space, which caused fears about the sufficiency of diesel stocks in the country, refers to the volumes recorded at the end of last year and cannot be relevant for the current situation. At the same time, proceeding from the mechanism of daily fuel price setting, and following the tendency of world fuel quotations decrease, for tomorrow, March 23, ANRE has set the following maximum retail prices for basic standard-type oil products: petrol COR 95 - 24.52 lei per liter (-5 bani); standard diesel - 21.42 lei per liter (-13 bani). The National Agency for Energy Regulation emphasized that it monitors the situation of fuel stocks on a daily basis and assured consumers that the existing price formation mechanism is extremely transparent, ensuring maximum fairness both in the periods of rising and falling prices. //22.03.2023 - InfoMarket.
