"Until the end of March, Moldovagaz will buy 0.7-0.8 million cubic meters of gas per day from Gazprom and 1.3-1.5 million cubic meters from Energocom.

This was announced by the Chairman of the Board of Moldovagaz, Vadim Ceban. He has explained that Gazprom has supplied natural gas to Moldova in the total amount of 176.7 million cubic meters per month or 5.7 million cubic meters daily on basis of a contract in force in March of this year. Since the beginning of the current month the volume of natural gas supplied by Gazprom has been fully received by Moldovagaz and redirected to Tiraspoltransgas for consumers on the left bank of the Nistru River, including Moldavskaya GRES which generates electricity for the right bank of the Nistru River. In the corresponding period, Moldovagaz was supplying natural gas purchased from Energocom to consumers on the right bank of the Nistru/Dniester. Vadim Ceban said the consumption of natural gas on the left bank of the Nistru River has considerably decreased because of the increase in the temperatures outside in the second half of this month. Thus, since the prices of gas supplied by Gazprom and Energocom are almost identical, Moldovagaz will be buying 0.7-0.8 million cubic meters daily from Gazprom, and approximately 1.3-1.5 million cubic meters daily from Energocom, until the end of March. // 21.03.2023 – InfoMarket
