Energocom will conclude power purchase contracts for April-September also on the basis of direct negotiations and/or through the exchange.

This decision was approved by the Emergency Situations Commission. In order to ensure the necessary amount of electricity for the domestic market in April and September, Energocom is charged with the public service obligation to purchase the electricity requested by system operators and universal service providers and guarantee suppliers, the Commission said in its order. It is stipulated that, in deviation from current legislation, Energocom will conclude contracts for the purchase and sale of electricity based on direct negotiations and/or through the exchange. In order to ensure the volume of electricity needed by end consumers and system operators to cover technological consumption and losses in the power grid, universal service providers, guaranteeing suppliers and system operators will purchase electricity based on bilateral contracts concluded with Energocom. In the event of changes in the conditions of electricity procurement, universal service providers, guaranteeing suppliers and system operators will conclude additional agreements to the contracts with Energocom within two working days from the date of signing the procurement contracts. // 16.03.2023 - InfoMarket.
