The Moldovan-Russian company Moldovagaz will have a new Chair of the Supervisory Board.

The Moldovan-Russian company Moldovagaz will have a new Chair of the Supervisory Board.

This is due to the fact that Elena Burmistrova, the former deputy chairman of Gazprom's Management Board and Director General of Gazprom Export LLC, is moving to the position of First Vice President of Gazprombank, a company controlled by the Russian gas holding. These and other personnel reshuffles at Gazprom will also affect Moldovagaz, where Elena Burmistrova has been chairman of the Supervisory Board since April 2019. Gazprom is expected to appoint another person to this position. For example, it could be Vitaly Markelov, Deputy Chairman of Gazprom's Board. It is noteworthy that Dmitry Khandoga, the new head of Gazprom Export, has been for several years a member of Moldovagaz Supervisory Board that also includes Sergey Kuznets (member of Gazprom Management Committee, head of Gazprom Department) and Kirill Neuimin (head of Gazprom Department) from the Russian side. From Moldova Constantin Borosan, state secretary at the Ministry of Energy, is a member of the Moldovagaz Supervisory Board. It has been announced earlier that economic expert Sergiu Tofilat will be appointed member of the Moldovagas Supervisory Board. Moldovagaz is one of the largest companies in Moldova. Moldovagaz SA was founded in 1999 and its main shareholders are: Gazprom (50%+1 share), the Moldovan government (35.33%) and the authorities of the unrecognized PMR (13.44%). // 13.03.2023 – InfoMarket
