Energocom received the right to reserve electricity capacity on the European platform JAO and will be able to buy electricity in any EU country.

Victor Binzari, Interim Director at Energocom announced this, noting that after registering on this platform, the company increases its ability to buy electricity from any country in Europe. "JAO is the only platform in the EU that provides transportation rights at all internal borders of the European Community. This opens the way for new cooperation, and so we will have the opportunity to contract with partners from other European countries," he said. JAO is a service company that hosts Europe's only leading trading platform (e-CAT) for cross-border capacity. On behalf of the Transmission System Operators (TSOs), the company auctions available long-term and short-term capacity rights at all internal EU borders. On 1 October 2018, JAO became the Single Distribution Platform (SAP) for all European Transmission System Operators that operate under EU law, as it is able to meet all regulatory obligations and requirements. It provides accounting (clearing and settlement), contracting, reporting, project support and IT services. // 17.03.2023 – InfoMarket
