The natural gas tariff for the final consumers of Moldova may decrease in February by about 10% - Andrei Spinu.
Deputy Prime Minister, Minister of Infrastructure and Regional Development expressed this opinion while speaking on the air of TV8 channel. He recalled that the institution responsible for fixing the gas tariffs is the National Energy Regulatory Agency (ANRE) and the reduction of the tariff for gas may take place after ANRE will analyze all expenses related to the purchase, transportation, distribution and supply of gas to consumers. Andrei Spinu said that the adjustment of the tariff depends on the price at which Energocom will sell gas to Moldovagaz. At the same time, according to him, based on the current situation, there are preconditions for the tariff reduction by some 10% starting from February. At the same time, the state will compensate consumers for the cost of 180 cubic meters of gas consumed during the month. For gas consumers with very high energy vulnerability, the cost of gas is 12 lei per cubic meter, with high energy vulnerability - 14 lei per cubic meter, with medium energy vulnerability - 17 lei per cubic meter, with low energy vulnerability - 24 lei per cubic meter, and consumers without energy vulnerability pay the full price for gas. //20.01.2023 - InfoMarket.
