The electricity tariff for domestic consumers of Premier Energy has been increased by 19.3% - from 2.64 to 3.15 lei per 1 kWh, excluding VAT.
According to a decision of the National Energy Regulatory Agency (ANRE), the tariff of 3.15 lei (excluding VAT) per 1 kWh will be applied to Premier Energy end-users, whose electricity installations are connected to low voltage (0.4 kV) distribution networks. It is worth mentioning that Premier Energy asked for a 22.7% increase from 2.64 to 3.24 lei/kWh. For Premier Energy consumers, connected to medium voltage networks (6; 10 kV), ANRE raised the tariff by 22.17% - from 2.3 to 2.81 lei (excluding VAT) per 1 kWh. The supplier's request would have raised the tariff by 26.1%, from 2.3 to 2.9 lei/kWh. For consumers connected to high voltage networks (35; 110 kV), ANRE raised the tariff by 24% - from 2.16 to 2.68 lei (excluding VAT) per 1 kWh. At the same time, Premier Energy requested a 28.2% increase in the tariff - from 2.16 to 2.77 lei/kWh. According to ANRE's decision, the cost of electricity at the entry points of Premier Energy's transmission network will increase from 2 to 2.51 lei/kWh (+25.5%), while the supplier asked for a 30% increase, to 2.6 lei/kWh. At the exit points of the transmission network, the tariff will be increased from 2.14 to 2.65 lei/kWh (+23.8%). Premier Energy asked for an increase from 2.14 to 2.74 lei/kWh (+28%). The increase in the tariffs was due to an increase in the electricity purchase price, change in MDL/USD exchange rate, etc. The ANRE decision will take effect within 30 days from the date of publication in Monitorul Oficial (the Official Journal of Moldova). The last time the electric power tariffs for final consumers in Moldova were changed on June 10, when under ANRE decision the electric power tariffs for Premier Energy consumers were increased by 21.6% - from 2.17 to 2.64 lei per 1 kWh, excluding VAT.
