Gasoline and diesel continue to go up in price in Moldova against the background of rising international quotations.
The National Energy Regulatory Agency (ANRE) reported this, noting an increasingly pronounced increase in quotations for fuel, which at the end of the last week reached the level of about $920 per ton of gasoline and $1220 per ton of diesel fuel. ANRE stressed that over the past 14 days, Platts quotes, used by ANRE to calculate maximum prices, increased by 16% for gasoline and 31% for diesel fuel, while the increase was about $125 per ton of gasoline and $290 per ton of diesel fuel. The energy regulator emphasizes that the oil market is being heavily impacted by the unprecedented volatility in fuel prices generated by the general state of instability on the European continent. At the same time, the price capping mechanism currently applied by ANRE maintains a relatively lower level of prices compared to other countries in the region. ANRE noted that for tomorrow, October 11, the maximum retail prices for the main standard oil products are set at the following level: gasoline COR 95 - 24.81 lei per liter (+24 bani); standard diesel fuel - 26.87 lei per liter (+49 bani). ANRE assures end users of the correctness of the maximum retail sales prices for the main standard oil products and confirms that the current pricing mechanism creates fair and transparent prices that reliably reflect both growth and decline trends in international quotations. // 10.10.2022 - InfoMarket.
