In Moldova, the volume of natural gas consumption in September 2022 amounted to 27.4 million cubic meters, which is 37.8% lower than the same period in 2021.
This was reported by the press service of "Moldovagaz", noting that, at the same time, compared with August, this figure increased by 1.4 million cubic meters (+5.4%). Residential consumers have repaid 99% of their consumption bills as of September 30, down 0.1 percentage point from the same period last year. In the case of non-residential consumers (legal entities), the share of payments reached 99.8%, with an increase of 0.7 p.p. The level of payment for the enterprises of the country's heat and power sector amounted to 99.9%, which is 0.1 p.p. higher than in September 2021. During the reporting period, 666 consumption points were disconnected from the network, the owners of which owed the supplier 1 million 968 thousand lei. Herewith, 302 consumers were transferred to advance payment, due to the earlier suspension of supplies for non-payment of the cost of consumed natural gas on time.
