In Moldova, the price of COR 95 gasoline has dropped by 7.67 lei per liter (-22.63%) within 2 months, while the price of standard diesel fuel has decreased by 6.73 lei per liter (-20.73%).

The National Agency for Energy Regulation (ANRE) stated this, ascertaining a continuous decrease of retail fuel prices in Moldova during the last 2 months. According to ANRE, this week (August 8-14) marks the end of an uninterrupted eight-week period of decline in retail prices of gasoline and seven weeks of decline in prices of diesel fuel. In particular, during this period the prices for COR 95 gasoline fell by 7.67 lei per liter (-22.63%) and for standard diesel - by 6.73 lei per liter (-20.73%). As a result of the continuous decrease of oil product quotations on international exchanges, the current maximum retail prices for fuel, set by ANRE, have fallen to the level last recorded in March 2022. For the next 3 days (August 13-15), the maximum retail prices for main standard petroleum products were set by ANRE at the following levels: COR 95 gasoline – 26.23 lei per liter (-17 bani, compared to the previous day); standard diesel – 25.73 lei per liter (-13 bani). ANRE assures Moldovan consumers that, based on the methodology applied, the fuel is sold at petrol stations at a fair price, corresponding to the realities of the day of purchase. The prices for petroleum products are influenced only by international market events, and oil companies are not allowed to interfere in the process of price setting. // 12.08.2022 - InfoMarket
