
Imports of energy resources to Moldova in the first quarter of 2022 in monetary terms amounted to $538.77 million and increased by 2.8 times compared to the same period in 2021.
As InfoMarket was told at the National Bureau of Statistics, in particular, in January-March 2022, compared to the same period of the previous year, imports of oil and oil products in value terms increased by 1.9 times - up to $216.12 million, and natural gas and industrial products from gas - increased by 4.1 times - up to $318.57 million. Deliveries of coal, coke and briquettes over the same period increased by 2.4 times - up to $4.09 million. Electricity imports amounted to $1.18 thousand, which is 150.7% more than the same period in 2021. In general, energy imports in the first quarter of 2022 ranked first in the overall structure of Moldovan imports with an indicator of 26.44% against 12.56% a year earlier.
