There is diesel fuel in Moldova, but the operators of the oil products market do not want to sell it - NAER.
This was stated by the National Agency for Energy Regulation in the context of the latest developments in the oil products market in Moldova and the shortage of diesel fuel at some gas stations. NAER noted that it closely monitors the situation on the market and, based on official statistics, can state that in recent days a number of operators have imported significant volumes of diesel fuel to the Giurgiulesti port, but refuses to sell it at gas stations. “The created situation is in the exclusive sphere of their responsibility, state institutions will analyze and find out the reasons for this phenomenon with all the necessary consequences,” NAER said. Regarding the latest amendments to the legislative, regulatory and legal framework, as well as public statements by some oil companies or experts / public opinion makers, NAER stated that it strongly condemns any attempts to put pressure on previously approved decisions of the energy regulator. The agency stressed that the current legislative framework has created certain vulnerabilities in this sector, which must be eliminated as soon as possible, so that in the future it will not be possible to use them to their advantage. NAER clarified that, according to preliminary data, from July 1 to 22, 11.6 thousand tons of gasoline and 32 thousand tons of diesel fuel were imported to the territory of Moldova, including the Giurgiulesti port. // 23.07.2021 — InfoMarket
