Moldova will host Concours Mondial de Bruxelles in 2025 - one of the most prestigious international wine competitions
The section dedicated to sparkling wines will be held in Chisinau from September 3 to 5. This was reported by the representatives of the competition, who were present at the 22nd "Wine Vernissage", and presented 50 awards to winemakers gathered under the auspices of the country's wine brand: 2 large gold medals, 25 gold medals, 23 silver medals. Concours Mondial de Bruxelles Ambassador in Moldova Thomas Brandl noted that Moldova has begun to gain increasing importance for the competition, becoming one of the most important countries in Eastern Europe. "In recent years, the number of awards won has increased dramatically, and that is why we came here to present these awards. Over the past 10 years, Moldova has seen a revolution in the wine sector, and this is also reflected in the results of the competition. "This year, we are proud to award 50 medals to 21 wineries," he said. Quentin Havaux, CEO of Concours Mondial de Bruxelles, said the goals of the competition are to provide consumers with quality wines, while at the same time supporting wine producers who want to position themselves and sell on the international market by providing them with the necessary tools. The competition has a history of more than three decades, tastings of wines submitted to the competition are held "blind", and about 30% of the wines evaluated receive prizes, which supports the value of the awarded distinctions. One of the features of the competition is that it is not only organized in Belgium, in recent years it has been held in more than 20 countries. "That is why we decided that the competition dedicated to the evaluation of sparkling wines will be held in Moldova from September 3 to 5, where more than 60 professional tasters of world class will taste more than 1000 products," Quentin Havaux said. // 11.12.2024 — InfoMarket.
