
Japan will provide Moldova with about $27 million in additional aid for healthcare, food, energy etc.
This was announced by Japanese Prime Minister Fumio Kishida at a meeting in Tokyo with Moldovan President Maia Sandu. According to the Japanese Foreign Ministry, at the beginning of the meeting, Prime Minister Fumio Kishida thanked Maia Sandu, the first woman President of Moldova, for her participation in the conference of the World Assembly for Women, WAW! 2022, organized by the Japanese government. The Japanese Prime Minister praised Moldova's efforts to welcome Ukrainian refugees. Fumio Kishida said Japan decided to provide additional assistance of about $27 million in healthcare, food, energy, etc. to Moldova, which is under a heavy burden caused by Russia's aggression against Ukraine.
