The French Development Agency will provide Moldova with 60 million euros by the end of 2022 for the modernization of the energy and railway sectors.

This was discussed during the meeting held in Paris by the President of Moldova, Maia Sandu, with the Director General of the French Development Agency, Rémy Rioux. The head of state welcomed the opening this year of the French Development Agency office in Chisinau and the assistance provided by the agency to a number of key areas of the country. In particular, Maia Sandu thanked for the financial assistance of 15 million euros provided this year to cover the needs of the budget in the social sphere, health and education, as well as for 60 million euros, which will be received by the end of 2022 and will be used for the railway sectors and areas of renewable energy sources.
