Germany will provide Moldova with additional aid of 32.3 million euros to mitigate numerous consequences of the war in Ukraine.
This was announced by Minister of Foreign Affairs of Germany Annalena Baerbock at the third "Moldova Support Platform" donor conference held in Paris. According to her, the funds will be used, inter alia, to expand the use of renewable energy sources, promote energy efficiency and development of municipal infrastructure. At the same time, German Minister of Economic Development Svenja Schulze specified that 28.7 million euros of the total amount of additional support will be used to improve the energy efficiency of buildings. "The German government intends to send a clear signal of solidarity with Moldova. Through this support, we are helping Moldova to get rid of dependence on energy supplies from Russia, at the same time coming to the aid of people in a difficult situation to survive the winter. We will not leave Moldova alone in the cold, in the dark or in an impending recession. Solidarity is a value that defines us in Europe and in the EU," Annalena Baerbock said, emphasizing that Moldova has friends and partners in the EU. //22.11.2022 - InfoMarket.
