The Prime Minister added that in order to bring universities in line with the expectations of young people and society, the authorities carried out an institutional reform of universities and in the future will continue to improve legislation in the field and provide the necessary resources to ensure the quality of the educational process. The head of the Cabinet noted that within the framework of the Higher Education in Moldova project, more than 50% of the funds will be spent on teacher's training. “In this way, we provide the prerequisites for integration into the European Educational Area and the European Research Area, where the education system of our country is a natural place. We want to have a highly effective education system that fully contributes to the development of the country,” the Prime Minister said. At the same time, Natalia Gavrilita called on the heads of institutions to attract as many young women as possible to fields such as engineering and information technology. “The resource of intelligence and innovation of women and girls in our country is huge. Please, let's together provide them with all the conditions in which they can benefit from their huge potential," she said. In turn, the Minister of Education and Research stressed that the funding provided under the project will help universities become stronger, which will affect both the relevance of the educational process and the quality of graduates. “Universities are the center of strength of the education system, and I want us to strengthen them together for the development of our country,” Anatolie Topala added.
