Moldova will receive an additional $46.3 million grant from the U.S. to promote sustainable economic growth.

Moldova will receive an additional $46.3 million grant from the U.S. to promote sustainable economic growth.

This will be the 13th Amendment to the Development Assistance Agreement between the Moldovan and U.S. governments for sustainable economic growth based on European integration. The government has approved the start of negotiations and the signing of the amendment. The mentioned grant will be provided to Moldova through the United States Agency for International Development (USAID). The allocation of these additional resources will increase the total amount of money granted within the above-mentioned agreement to about $153.2 million, granted by the USAID as non-reimbursable aid to Moldova. Only $52.79 million under the 12 amendments to the aforementioned agreement have been mastered so far. Finance Minister Dumitru Budianschi has been authorized to sign the Amendment.
