Non-working individuals, owners of agricultural land will be exempted from paying compulsory health insurance contributions in the form of a fixed amount.
This is provided for by the relevant amendments to the Law on the amount, procedure and terms of payment of compulsory health insurance premiums, passed by the Parliament in the first reading. In particular, the exemption from these payments will affect non-working individuals residing in Moldova and insured by the state. The exemption will apply, in particular, to persons who have the ownership right (quota) to agricultural lands, including those inherited from parents, with an area of up to 2 hectares, and who have no registered income from these lands. The beneficiaries of the respective benefits will also be Moldovan citizens abroad, who have confirmed their stay there for more than 183 calendar days during the fiscal year, as well as persons who have reached the retirement age. The amendments were proposed as a result of numerous appeals of Diaspora citizens who own quotas of agricultural land in Moldova. // 22.03.2024 - InfoMarket.
