The National Bureau of Statistics reported this, without providing data in value terms. According to the agency, at the same time in April 2023 the volume of industrial production decreased by 10.7% compared to the same month last year. Overall, in January-April 2023, compared to the same period in 2022, production in the extractive industry decreased by 18.4%, and in the processing industry - by 7.4%. According to the NBS, food industry enterprises for 4 months in 2023, compared to the same period in 2022, reduced overall production volumes by 20.1%. The production of beverages increased by 25.2%, textile production - decreased by 11.3%, clothing - decreased by 11.8%. In the tanning and leather finishing section; production of suitcases, bags, harness and saddlery; dressing and dyeing of fur, the decline was 6%, and in the section on wood processing and the production of wood and cork products, except for furniture; production of products from straw and other plant materials for weaving - an increase of 11.2% was registered. The production of paper and paper products decreased by 8.7%, chemicals and chemical products - decreased by 41.5%, pharmaceuticals and pharmaceuticals - increased by 45.9%, and rubber and plastic products production - decreased by 12.5%. In the metallurgical industry, production increased by 25.2%. The output of metal structures and products, except for machines, equipment and installations, decreased by 25.4%, and in the section "production of computers, electronic and optical products" the indicator decreased by 2.8%. The production of electrical equipment increased by 38.1%, machinery and equipment - increased 4.2 times, cars, trailers and semi-trailers - decreased by 7.8%, furniture - decreased by 16.2%. In the repair, maintenance and installation of machinery and equipment section, the decline was 8.3%. Production and supply of electricity and heat, gas, hot water and air conditioning decreased by 1.9%.
