The government has approved regulations governing the activities of car service centers, introducing standards in this area
The new regulations establish the types of services that may be provided in this sector, including mechanical and electrical repairs, conversion, or dismantling of vehicles. It also specifies the information that must be included in the document confirming the performance of the work and regulates the rules governing the relationship between the supplier and the customer, including the rights and obligations of each party. Thus, there is now an obligation to issue a detailed confirmation document to the customer after each service provided, and car service centers must specify the rights and obligations of the parties. The regulations are aimed at protecting consumers, improving road safety, and bringing the industry into line with European standards. The document will come into force 12 months after its publication in Monitorul Oficial (the Official Journal of Moldova). Companies that were already operating on the market will have 12 months to bring their activities into line with the new regulations. It is worth noting that there are more than 800 car service centers registered in Moldova, which serve more than 1.2 million vehicles registered in Moldova, including 813 thousand passenger cars. // 30.04.2025 — InfoMarket
