Moldova's Ministry of Finance optimizes its organizational structure to support the EU accession process
In particular, at a meeting on Tuesday, the government approved changes to the structure of the Ministry of Finance with a view to strengthening the institution's capacity and bringing it into line with its new responsibilities in the EU accession process. According to the Ministry of Finance, new departments will be created, including the External Assistance and European Financing Department, which will be responsible for coordinating external assistance, including the Economic Reform Program, the function of National Controller within the INTERREG programs, and public finance reform. At the same time, the document provides for the strengthening of the European Integration Department and the formation of a service specializing in the development of accounting standards for the public sector in accordance with international norms. The Ministry of Finance will be reorganized through the redistribution of existing personnel, without additional budgetary expenditures. The aim is to improve the efficiency, transparency, and administrative capacity of the ministry in the area it manages. // 29.04.2025 — InfoMarket
