The Prime Minister said this while speaking at the Moldova Cybersecurity Forum 2025, which is taking place in Chisinau. According to him, cybersecurity is a vast area and a continuous process that should involve both large companies using digital technologies and every citizen, who must follow proper cyber hygiene rules to avoid becoming a victim of criminals in the digital space. According to the head of government, with the increasing digitalization of public services, the risks of cyber attacks have also increased. Thus, ensuring cybersecurity is a priority for our state. "Every citizen, every public institution or private company plays an important role in creating a safe digital space," Dorin Recean emphasized. At the same time, the Prime Minister recalled the government's efforts to train cybersecurity specialists needed in both the public and private sectors. Thus, last year, the National Institute of Innovation in Cybersecurity Cybercor was created at the Technical University of Moldova. In addition, during the year, the Cabinet ensured the proper functioning of the Cybersecurity Agency, which supports the entire society in protecting itself from cyber risks. Likewise, the capacity of the Information Technology and Cybersecurity Service (STISC), which supports state infrastructure in the fight against cyber threats, was strengthened. The Cybersecurity Forum in Moldova is held over 2 days. The second event is dedicated to strengthening digital resilience and ensuring the security of critical infrastructure. The forum brings together public institutions, the private sector and academia to explore cooperation opportunities, strengthen existing partnerships and find innovative solutions to protect critical infrastructure.
