Moldova is preparing to connect to European environmental systems through the EU4Green RECOVERY program
According to the Ministry of Environment, the second EU4Green RECOVERY expert mission is taking place in Moldova until the end of this week. Its goal is to identify the needs and activities related to the components of the program 2 and 4, dedicated to the management of water resources and environmental data, which are necessary to connect to the European environmental systems. This mission will result in a 4-year project implementation action plan for each component. This approach, based on current needs, will allow the project to be adapted to the local context and will bring real benefits to the institutions subordinated to the Ministry of Environment. According to the press service of the Ministry, the mission will include visits and technical meetings with the target institutions. It is worth noting that EU4Green RECOVERY is a program under which the EU will allocate 21.3 million euros in 2025-2028. It is aimed at promoting the development of a circular economy, efficient water resources management, harmonization of legislation with EU rules, integration into European data exchange networks and strengthening cross-border cooperation in the field of environmental protection. All these actions are implemented by a consortium of 5 international organizations (Expertise France, the French International Office for Water, the Organization for Economic Cooperation and Development, the United Nations Economic Commission for Europe and the United Nations Industrial Development Organization) under the coordination of the Environment Agency Austrian, which together contribute to strengthening institutional capacity and supporting Moldova's European path. // 09.04.2025 - InfoMarket
