
Moldovan government has approved the procedure of organization and activity of the National Film Archive, as well as the tariffs of the National Center of Cinematography
The document approved by the Cabinet of Ministers establishes the conditions of activity of the National Film Archive, the nomenclature of its services and the methodology of calculation for works and services provided by the National Center of Cinematography. Through the Cinematheque and digital platform, the National Center of Cinematography will promote Moldova's cinematographic heritage, including for a fee and at special film screenings. For example, an hour of watching a movie from their film archive will cost 120 lei, a screening in a protected hall - 600 lei per hour, etc. According to Culture Minister Sergiu Prodan, the archive is planned to be a unique, legal and voluntary depository of films. It is meant to protect, develop and multiply Moldova's cinematographic heritage at the national and international level. An inventory of cultural heritage, evaluation and mapping of film collections are planned for this year.
