Petru Rotaru is appointed Vice Governor of the National Bank of Moldova for a 7-year term

This decision was adopted by the Parliament at the plenary session on July 31. Petru Rotaru was appointed Vice Governor and member of the Executive Committee of the National Bank of Moldova (NBM) at the proposal of the NBM Governor Anca Dragu. Petru Rotaru has been Minister of Finance since 2023. He has extensive experience in the financial sector, having previously been a member of the Court of Accounts and director of the State Tax Service. According to the legislation, the Vice Governors of the National Bank of Moldova are appointed by the Parliament upon the proposal of the NBM Governor for a term of 7 years, with the possibility to extend the mandate. // 31.07.2024 – InfoMarket
